TÍTULO:
VVV astrometry: QSOs, proper motions and parallaxes

RESUMEN:
Even not especially designed for astrometry, the VISTA Variables en Via Lactea (VVV) survey gives us an excellent opportunity to obtain precise proper motions and parallaxes. In this talk I will promote VIRAC, a near-infrared proper motion and parallax VVV catalogue of 3x10^8 unique sources. The catalogue is available for the community and remains very useful in the era of Gaia. I will discuss also some interesting nearby brown dwarfs, the first spectroscopically confirmed quasars behind the MW bulge area and lensing events found in the bulge.
