Optical & Wireless Laboratory (OWL)

Descripción

Laboratorio dedicado al estudio de las telecomunicaciones, en particular aquellas tecnologías asociadas a las redes de acceso de banda ancha. En específico estamos estudiando protocolos de transporte y protocolos de control de acceso (MAC) para redes que abarcan distancias de largo recorrido (long-haul) hasta redes locales personales inalámbricas (WPAN). Un tema de particular interés son las aplicaciones médicas que estas redes pueden tener (e-Health).

  • 10+ Red de computadores (computer grid) (3 con tarjetas 1000/100/10).
  • 2 Switches de 1Gbps.
  • 2 Antenas de bocina - 60 GHz.
  • 2 Mixer 60 GHz.
  • 2 Multiplicadores x4 (15 GHz x4 = 60 GHz).
  • 2 Osciladores – 15 GHz.
  • 1 Amplificador – 60 GHz.
  • 1 Atenuador.
  • 1 Conversor HDMI (paralelo) a HDMI-SDI (serial).
  • 1 Conversor HDMI-SDI (serial) a HDMI (paralelo).
  • Misceláneos (cables SMA, cables BNC, divisores, etc.).
