Descripción

El laboratorio se dedica a la ciencia de superficies, nanomateriales y películas delgadas:

• Crecimiento de películas metálicas.
• Transporte electrónico en películas metálicas delgadas.
• Formación de nanopartículas y películas de óxidos metálicos.
• Caracterización química de superficies sólidas.
• Moléculas auto-ensambladas sobre superficies metálicas.
• Adsorción estimulada eléctricamente (electroadsorción)

Equipamiento e instrumentos:

• Espectrómetro de fotoelectrones (XPS o ESCA): cuenta con fuente de rayos x no monocromatizada, permite erosión con iones, mediciones resueltas en el ángulo (ARXPS) y espectroscopia de iones de baja energía (LEIS).
• Microscopio de efecto túnel (STM) y de fuerza atómica (AFM).
• Imán superconductor de 9T.
• Máquina licuefactora de helio.
• Evaporadores en vacío, hornos, etc.
