Three Tenure Track Academic Positions

The Department of Geology of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile is seeking to appoint three full time (44 hrs.) academic positions. 

These positions are for tenure track and involve strong commitment in research and teaching, both at undergraduate and graduate levels. 

The selected candidates are expected to participate and lead basic and applied research projects as well as build a vigorous externally-funded research program.

The open positions are in the following areas:

  • Geology (code FM-1805): Igneous Petrology
  • Geology (code FM-1806): Structural Geology and Tectonics
  • Geology (code FM-1807): Environmental Geology and Hydrogeology

A mediados de abril, 35 estudiantes de América Latina y el Caribe participaron en un diálogo con tres Premios Nobel para analizar de qué manera la ciencia puede beneficiar a la sociedad. La U. de Chile fue representada por la estudiante del Doctorado en Ciencias Médicas, Lucía del Valle, quien además es parte de la startup Candel Medical Company de OpenBeauchef.
